What on earth is ‘Messy Church’?

Well ........

The title and basis for activities come from a book

called ‘Messy Church’, written by Lucy Moore.

Quote: -

“at it’s heart, ‘Messy Church’ aims to create the

opportunity for parents, carers and children to enjoy

expressing their creativity, sit down together,

experience worship and have fun within a Church context.”

It’s a church event, suitable for the whole family.

Starts with activities linked to a Bible theme or story,

followed by a short period of lively worship,

ending with refreshments and a ‘natter’.

Forthcoming dates 2008 - 2009:

When: 2^nd Sunday of each Month (school term time only)

Where: Trinity Methodist Church, King St., Winterton

Start: 3.00pm prompt Finish: 4.30pm

14^th September- Another Chance!

12^th October- Solid Ground.

9^th November- Never Forget.

14^th December- Christingle

(Family Service @ All Saints 4pm start)

2009

11^th January- Invitation- Will You Come?

8^th February- God Cares 4 U.

8^th March- Keep Looking.

12^th April- No Meeting, Easter Sunday

10^th May- Who Matters?

14^th June- Treasure!

12^th July- Growing…
